A truly wonderful holiday. An idyllic spot with beautiful comfortable lodges and such peace and tranquility. Fiona and Robin couldn’t be more helpful or welcoming. We heartily recommend Bengairn lodges and had a wonderful week relaxing and visiting really interesting places. Also, I can recommend a swim in the loch followed (after rinse ) by a dip in the hot tub ❤️
Hazel Lodge was simply exceptional. The interior is clean, modern and provides every possible comfort.
Outside the beautiful terrace looks out on the most spectacular view of the loch and surrounding fields.
The Galloway area is good for the soul - gorgeous coastal scenery, lovely woodland and plenty of fresh air!

We have visited Bengairn Lodges on several occasions now. The lodges are furnished to an extremely high standard, each colour coordinated and exceptionally comfortable beds with beautiful linen. The hot tub is monitored daily. The owners of the site Fiona & Robin are lovely and go above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The lodges look over the loch which is a haven for wildlife and extremely peaceful. The welcome pack is a lovely touch and always very much appreciated. We love to visit and always return home fully refreshed.
Our stay was tranquil, peaceful and completely undisturbed, precisely the quiet and away-from-it-all break we were seeking. The expansive views across the lake to the hills beyond were idyllic. In addition to the swans and ducks, we saw heron, kingfisher and a red kite using the lake, right in front of us, from the lounge patio doors. The decor was top quality and the welcome package, including a dozen pink roses, was very much appreciated.
This was by far the best holiday lodge we have ever stayed in. Fiona and Robin are incredible hosts and nearly everything we did during our week long stay was on their recommendation - none of them disappointed! When booking I thought the photography of the loch views must be making it seem nicer than it was but actually it’s quite the opposite - the pictures don’t do justice as to how beautiful the views from the lodge are! We would highly recommend staying here and are excited to return in the future.

My wife and I had the most wonderful time at Bengairn Lodges. The lodge itself was absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and had everything we could possibly need for our stay.
After long days exploring the peaceful, scenic surroundings, relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of wine was just perfect. It really was the ideal way to unwind.

Stayed here from 30/05- 6/06/26 . This was one of if not the best lodges we have ever stayed in , it was well equipped and immaculately presented , the beds and linen are a very high quality and extremely comfortable, the location is stunning with beautiful Loch views with a wide variety of birds.
The site is located on a working farm with sheep and cattle all around , it was great to see the working dogs .
The owners Robin and Fiona were fantastic hosts and always on hand if we had any requests or problems.
There was a really nice welcome pack which was well received . There is a small shop in the village which supplied various cakes , pastries and home cooked meals on a daily basis.
A fantastic holiday location which we would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Another superb fortnight in Holly. The scenery and tranquility is amazing, the lodge is really comfortable and Robin and Fiona are fantastic hosts. All the interests of watching farm life carrying on in the fields, with wonderful wildlife all around, and yet all within easy reach of Kirkcudbright, Castle Douglas and an assortment of lovely beaches.
